level 1. roux93. · 8y Coach. I would recommend getting the size that fits your foot truest, if you go any bigger you could risk being clumsy as stated by u/CapnFantastic. There are some players who actually use shoes a half size smaller so that they get the best touch on the ball.
The half size was exactly what I needed. Net net is these run a tiny bit large but you want that to accommodate the sports socks. You can get your child’s normal shoe size and know it should fit comfortably with sports socks, and If you want to leave some growing room, go up a half size from their normal shoe size.
